Step up to this bar
Put simply, this is artistry in wood.
I really liked Irene Langlois‘ design to have a wooden waterfall breakfast bar next to our modern island. Her drawings showed a sleek, contemporary design.
And then Frank Prendergast, carpenter extraordinaire showed up with this bad boy.
Is is so warm, so beautiful… so goregeous…. we’re afraid to touch it, let alone eat on it.
No, it doesn’t go so well with the plywood counters, but new stone counters are coming soon enough (I promise you).
We purposely bought run-of-the-mill bar stools and we’re looking at ‘average’ pendant lights, because we want the focus to be on this bar.
We’re a little nervous about our wonderful, rambunctious boys marking it, so we’re contemplating a glass top to protect the bar, which we shall cherish like a work of art.
How could you not want to join the conversation, the hub, by stepping up to this?
Beautiful!
